Zone – out of vision
Six profiler lights, each connected to a motion detector, are mounted on three steel masts. Six squares of light, with sharp edges, are projected onto the bridge leading to the museum. When a person enters a light square the light switches off. It turns on again when no body motion can be detected in the light square area(s).

UPCOMING EXHIBITION

Dunkers Kulturhus, Kungsgatan 11, Helsingborg

14 February - 29 March, 2009

Dunkers Kulturhus

Current Information – open vision
The entire building is turned into a statistical indicator. The building's facade floodlights are connected, via a light control unit, to sensors which register the number of visitors entering the building's main entrance and will thus function as a visitor gague. By the end of each day the light status of Dunkers Kulturhus corresponds with the number of visitors, thereby making the public’s use of the building transparent and freely available.

COMMISSION

Vardagsrum | Living room, Gävle Strand, Gävle

Gustav Hellberg has been chosen to create an outdoor installation in a park-like environment along a canal in the new part of Gävle, called Gävle Strand. The work uses the living room floor lamp as an iconographic object to create an interchange between in- and outdoor living facilities as well as examining the history of domestic design with present notions of home environment. The work is planned to be completed in summer 2009.
